Home of New Zealands Top Papillons

Pillango Kennels is proudly owned by Stephen and Tania Bottlik and are a small Kennel breeding for type and quality, we are located at the southern end of the South Island of New Zealand.

We got started into Papillons in 1998 by purchasing our family pet and then getting a companion for him, which was looking for a new home. We were persuaded to have a go at conformance showing so we then purchased a show puppy and made him up to a champion.

From there we contacted the Dubalbow Kennels in Australia to look at importing new lines, which we did do. In 2006 we imported from the UK from the Sunshoo/Gleniren Kennels.

In doing so we have made up New Zealand’s first Grand Champion Papillon and his progeny have gained Best and Reserve in Show All Breeds and specialty shows.

We have made up eight imported dogs to Champions and have eleven Home breed Champions.
